Zamalek wing-back Hazem Emam has been suspended from training until the end of the season after angrily throwing his shirt during Tuesday’s friendly match with Goldi.

The 22-year-old reacted furiously after being ordered by manager Hossam Hassan to warm up late in the game, only for the match to end a few minutes later.

“He will be banned from training and matches until the season ends. His salary will be frozen as well,” Zamalek football director Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com.

Emam has been involved in numerous controversies since emerging as one of Zamalek’s future stars two years ago.

He was banned for eight matches by the Egyptian FA last season for his violent behavior against referee Tawfik Al-Sayed a draw with Police Union.
