الاهلى الزمالك

Zamalek midfielder Hassan Mostafa says there is no need to panic after the team had lost top spot to arch-rivals Ahli.

Defending champions Ahli jumped to the summit after beating ENPPI 2-1 on Tuesday, thanks to the Whites goalless draw against Gaish.

“Despite the two-point gap, we shouldn’t lose hope because things could change in the remaining five matches,” former Ahli midfielder Mostafa told Zamalek’s website.

“It is true the champions should not drop many points by losing or drawing, but we shouldn’t look to the past.

“I think the derby match will decide the league champions this season.”

After visiting Masri in Port-Said, Zamalek clash with Ahli next Wednesday in a match that could well determine the 2010-2011 season champions.

Alive

In the same manner, youngster Hassan Youssef reflected the enthusiastic attitude inside the Whites’ camp despite the recent blow.

“The competition is still alive and coach Hossam Hassan is urging us to focus on what’s ahead. Our determination will be proved against Masri,” Youssef said.

“We will not return from Port-Said without the three points of the game.”
