Zamalek striker Amr Zaki is wanted by Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor, according to the Whites’ marketing director.

“An offer arrived from Sivasspor of Turkey. We will discuss it with coach Hassan Shehata to learn about his opinion,” Zamalek marketing director Ashraf Sobhi told FilGoal.com.

“If coach Shehata agreed to let Zaki go, we will begin negotiations with the Turkish side.”

Zaki spent most of last season on the sidelines due to his numerous injury problems, mostly relating to a troublesome knee.

The 28-year-old almost missed Egypt’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign under Shehata, even though he was considered first-choice striker when fit.

Nigerian Trialists

Meanwhile, Zamalek have handed trials to Nigerian duo Wasiu Showemimo and Orok Akarandut.

Wasiu is a 22-year-old center-half who plays for Kano Pillars, while striker Akarandut, 24, is currently with Tunisian side AS Gabes.

Zamalek signed Ghana international center-half Karimu Alhassan on a free transfer from Hearts of Oak this week as they intend to reinforce their backline.
