Mauritanian striker Dominique da Silva bagged a brace to steer Ahli to a 2-0 win against Gaish in Abdul-Sattar Sabri’s farewell match.

Dominique, who returned from injury this week, scored his double in the 55th and 78th minutes to give Ahli a win as former Egypt midfielder Sabri put an end to his footballing career.

Sabri, 37, started his career at Cairo’s Arab Contractors before moving abroad to play for the likes of Austria's FC Tirol Innsbruck, Greece’s PAOK Saloniki and Portuguese giants Benfica.

He was a member of Egypt’s 1998 Africa Cup of Nations triumph in Burkina Faso.

Sabri is a member of the Gaish coaching staff in the meantime as his brother Amer is a regular for Farouk Gaafar's team.
