Who is Egypt’s Jakobsen?

-Alexander Jakobsen’s real name is Amir Adel; a surname he had to change in Denmark after what was described by his father as ‘political and religious pressure’ he had faced.

-His father – Adel Ahmed – was a former Ahli player who had a brief spell with the Cairo giants in the 1980s before moving to Denmark.

-Jakobsen is a freestyle wizard as he used to entertain fans during half time at his old club Copenhagen, which made him a Youtube star after appearing in a famous Danske Bank commercial.

-Since the age of 14, Jakobsen was nicknamed Denmark’s Ronaldinho because of the similarity in shape and style with the Brazil icon.

-The 20-year-old plays for PSV Eindhoven youth but has yet to make an appearance for the Dutch club’s first team.

-He was called up by Egypt for the first time this month but still has an option to represent Denmark at the senior level.

-He is a two-footed winger who also plays as an attacking midfielder.

-Jakobsen was invited twice by Liverpool for a trial but injury problems dented his chances of moving to Anfield.

-His favorite players are Liverpool and Morocco winger Oussam Assaidi and the great Ronaldinho.

-Jaokobsen enjoyed his heyday when he used to play for Copenhagen youth in 2008-2009, clocking up 27 goals and 41 assists in 37 games.
